A WJJF coaching course will give you the knowledge, skills and experience to become accepted nationally as a good and effective coach.
For both Volunteers and Professionals
A coaching award is required for both volunteers and professionals. Both types of coaches have a duty of care to ensure that their methods are safe, and adhere to the recognised standards promoted by the WJJF.
Three Level Award System
We offer three levels of Awards
Assistant Coach This is open to candidates with a minimum grade of 3 Kyu, aged 16 years and over. This award must be completed before the 1st Dan Black Belt is taken.
Club Coach This is open to candidates with a minimum grade of 1st Dan Kyu, aged 18 years and over. It is the minimum award required to run a WJJF club.
Senior Coach This award is by invitation and recommendation only. It is open to candidates with a minimum grade of 3rd Dan Kyu, aged 21 years and over. Candidates must have considerable experience as a club coach.
