Junior Leadership Award

The WJJF junior leadership award allows children to gain a recognised qualification for their Ju-Jitsu skills. It is the first step to becoming a professional martial arts coach. The award can also provide a significant advantage in later life.

Junior Leadership Award Class Laying the foundations of life

The Junior Leadership Award introduces children to the skills required to become a professional martial arts coach. These include essential leadership skills such as confidence, aptitude, responsibility and discipline.

A three-step process to a recognised qualification

We offer three courses:

  • Assistant Junior Leader
  • Junior Leader
  • Junior Instructor

By completing all three courses, candidates can progress through the WJJF senior qualifications which will ultimately lead to a Level 2 City & Guilds NVQ in coaching.

This award demonstrates that the coach has met the national standards set by the Sport and Recreation Industry.
