WJJF coaching training courses are geared to developing effective, professional coaches. The courses challenge individuals to move beyond technique and embody the attitudes and skills essential to effective coaching. The course will give you the knowledge, skills and experience to become a good, effective coach.
Our reputation for excellence in this field is based on clear ethical standards, thorough face-to-face coaching and training, and a commitment to technical expertise.
WJJF has a Three Level Award System:-
Support Coach
This is open to candidates with a minimum grade of 3 Kyu Purple belt, aged 18 years and over.
Club Coach
This is open to candidates with a minimum grade of 1st Dan, It is the minimum award required to run a WJJF club.
Senior Coach
This award is by invitation and recommendation only. It is open to candidates with a minimum grade of 3rd Dan.
Junior Coaching
The WJJF Junior Leadership award allows children to gain a recognised qualification for their Ju-Jitsu skills. It is the first step to becoming a professional martial arts coach. The award can also provide a significant advantage in later life.
The Junior Leadership Award introduces children to the skills required to become a professional martial arts coach. These include essential leadership skills such as confidence, aptitude, responsibility and discipline.
A three-step process to a recognised qualification.
We offer three courses:
Assistant Junior Leader
(minimum brown and white belt, age 10+)
Junior Leader
(minimum brown and white belt, age 11+)
Junior Instructor
(minimum junior black belt, age 14+)
By completing all three courses, candidates can progress through the WJJF senior qualifications in coaching.

The World Ju-Jitsu Federation was founded in 1976 and is present in countries worldwide. We teach the traditional Japanese martial art of Ju-Jitsu to everyone from the age of 4 to 80. Search our database of official UK clubs to find one near you.
